What a micro school is
A micro school is exactly what it sounds like: a school kept deliberately small. Instead of grade-level classrooms of twenty-five or thirty, students learn in mixed-age groups small enough that a teacher knows every one of them well — what they have mastered, where they are stuck, and what actually motivates them.
That size changes what is possible. Lessons can be adjusted the same day rather than the same term. A student who is ahead in math and behind in writing can be met at both levels at once. And the relationships that carry a young person through hard material have room to form.

Small, multi-age groups
Younger students learn from older ones, older students consolidate by teaching, and nobody is anonymous in the room.

Students move on when they have genuinely understood something, not when the unit calendar says the class is finished with it.
